Towards the end of December, Keanu Reeves will voice Shadow the Hedgehog on the big screen in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Part of the DLC release is Sonic the Hedgehog voice acting Sonic x Shadow Generation.
Only a brief clip from the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack DLC was played during the State of Play, but it threw Reeves’ shadow directly into Tokyo, one of the scenes in the movie.
In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, Shun Nakamura pointed out that the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie pack has nothing to do with the narrative of Shadow Generations. Instead, he described it as “bonus content,” but emphasized that Shadow’s controls will remain consistent with the main game.
“The development team also lives in Tokyo, so we tried to develop this setting into an enjoyable Sonic game while also clearly showing the style of Tokyo,” Nakamura added. “We even had some fun with the actual elements used in the game The area was researched for inspiration. We think it’s very exciting to play shadows in real-life cities, so stay tuned.”
Sonic Available as part of the Deluxe Edition.
