Netflix has released a new trailer for the seemingly insane mythical dark comedy series called Kaoswhich star Jeff Goldblum Zeus is the king of the gods, a vengeful god who wants to “wipe these damn guys off this damn planet.”
Zeus, “all-powerful, cruel, and occasionally merciful…had no idea that a plot to overthrow him had begun.” The film has been described as a “modern retelling of Greek mythology.”
The show revolves around six humans who, while dealing with the corrupt and arrogant gods of Greek mythology, discover a connection to each other and to a long-standing ancient prophecy.
In the series, “Zeus has long enjoyed his status as King of the Gods. Until he wakes up and notices a wrinkle on his forehead. Neurosis begins to set in, sending him down a dangerous, paranoid path.”
“Zeus is convinced that his fall is coming and begins to see signs of it everywhere. Zeus’s once reliable brother, Hades, god of the underworld, is secretly losing control of his reign of darkness.
“There were a lot of dead to deal with, and they were getting restless. HeraJanet McTeer), the Queen of the Gods, who exercises dominion over the Earth and Zeus in her own unique way.
But “her power and freedom are threatened by Zeus’s growing paranoia, and she is forced to take action, when Zeus’s rebellious son Dionysus (Naban Rizwan), loses control and is about to collide with his father in the universe.
“People on Earth long for change, but Poseidon (Cliff Curtis), the god of seas, storms and earthquakes (and horses) is more concerned with the size of his superyacht and the location of his next party. He has no interest in the welfare of mortals…”
