The company’s initial product launch will feature classic gaming brands, board games, mat games and travel games in the new format. The product line will include a license with Hasbro, a partnership with Sony Pictures Television, and five nights at Freddy’s.
Expanding to the gaming category creates many new synergies for licensing and retail partnerships. In Hasbro’s collaboration, Just Play will bring back classics such as versions of outdoor toys to skip it, and comes with lighting, sound and digital counters that track and record up to 1 million skips. The company will also use Simon Jump Game Mat to convert the staple food memory game Simon into an active gaming format. Players can dance on interactive floor mats to match light and sound patterns. Both products are scheduled to be launched early this year.
Just Play will also work with Sony Pictures Television for board and card game versions Wheel of Destiny and Pop culture is dangerous!released this fall.
