28 years later, she’s back on set for the long-awaited sequel, Happy Gilmore 2she filled us in on how things were going.
In a recent interview with Collider, Bowen was asked if she had ever imagined Happy Gilmore 2 When it finally happened, she responded:
“No, I’ve just started shooting now. Actually, I came here from the set to find you. You’re welcome. I don’t know how many people are happy.” Obviously, we were shooting on a golf course.
I can’t spoil anything. I can’t spoil all the guest stars or cameos in it. I could tell we were filming on a golf course with hundreds of extras and they were all excited. I thought, ‘Oh, wow, I didn’t know everyone was waiting for this. But I feel this way now.
When asked what it was like to be reunited with Sandler Christopher McDonaldBowen returns to play Happy Gilmore’s greatest nemesis, Shooter McGavin, and what it was like reliving her first film, Bowen said:
“It was really weird. This isn’t a spoiler, but because there were flashbacks, they had to put me in my hair and clothes from that time, which are not my favorite.
It’s fun because they also allow me to de-age, which I’ve never done. I thought, “Cool, I can’t wait to see what that is.” There’s a lot of really interesting stuff. and saw adam [Sandler] and chris [McDonald]even some of the crew.
Adams is a loyal, lovable person to work with and enjoys bringing his employees along with him from the start. Perry [Andelin Blake]Our production designer has been with him since Happy Gilmore and he looks exactly the same.
Kyle Newacheck (murder mystery) is directing a sequel to a Sandler script, Tim Herlihy. There are currently no details about the movie’s plot.
Sandler previously said of the film: “We’re going to Happy GilmoreThanks. This is happening. We were getting ready to shoot in New Jersey. We start in a few weeks.
“It’s great. We worked a lot on the script. We didn’t want to let anyone down. People have been asking me for a long time. We’re really excited about it. We wrote our butts off. A lot of the golfers were nice and will be part of it.
Not all cameos have been revealed, but we do know the musical artist bad bunny is part of Happy Gilmore 2 cast, plus kansas city chiefs football players Travis Kelce, Margaret Cooley, Benny Safdieand Nick Swanson.
