“Get Out” and “Us” have won rave reviews from critics and audiences, and both received “generally favorable” scores from Metacritic.
“Get Out” was released in 2017 and tells the story of Chris (played by Daniel Kaluuya) who goes to meet his girlfriend’s parents. She invites him on a weekend getaway with her family – and what starts as a slightly awkward encounter quickly turns into something more sinister.
Peele released “Get Out” in 2019, which grossed more than $255 million at the global box office. Like Get Out, it starts out as a relaxing family vacation and then turns into a nightmare-inducing horror film. After a day at the beach, a family notices four shadowy figures holding hands near their house, and they all look strikingly similar to themselves.
