Paramount+ announced Garrett Hedlund, Alison Pill, Emily Mitchelland Owen Teague Joins the cast of JonBenét Ramsey’s limited series.
They join previously announced series protagonists Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen and the actors Shay Whigham and Will Barton.
The series will follow the story of the Ramsey family before and after the tragedy, as they experienced the loss of their child while facing intense public scrutiny amid the media frenzy that brought the case to the national spotlight.
“At the heart of the series is the story of Patsy (McCarthy) and John Ramsay (Owen) – exploring the unbreakable partnership between these two complex people – as husband and wife, as mother and father – —They dedicated themselves and their families to them.
Mitchell (Priscilla “Ordinary Angel”) will play JonBenét Ramsey in the play.
Hedlund (Tron: Legacy, Friday Night Lights) will play Detective Steve Thomas, who is described as “an experienced detective assigned to the Jonbenét case.”
pill(Star Wars: Picard) will play Detective Linda Arndt, who is said to be “a police detective in Boulder, Colorado. After Jonbenét Ramsey was reported missing/kidnapped, Arndt and her partner Trusi Detective Lue was the first to arrive on the scene.
Production on the show is about to begin in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
