Joe Bernthal (punisher) and Pablo Schreiber (faint) has joined Tessa Thompson In an upcoming series on Netflix, his and hersproduction is expected to begin this fall.
The show is set in scorching Atlanta, where Anna (Thompson) lives a hauntingly reclusive life, drifting away from her friends and her career as a journalist.
“But when she overhears a murder in Dahlonega, the sleepy town where she grew up, she snaps out of it and immediately sets out to investigate the case and find answers.
Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal) develops strange suspicions about her involvement and makes her a target of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story, his and hers, which means someone is always lying.
It also explains that Bernthal’s character, Jack, is “a Sheriff’s Office detective who lost his last job and now works in his hometown of Dahlonega, Georgia, where he lives with his sister and niece Together.
“He is married to newscaster Anna (Thompson), but the two are estranged and their relationship is complicated by loss and betrayal. Jack is a good man, but he doesn’t always make the right decisions, and Deeply troubled by the murder case he just took on.
Schreiber will play Richard, “one of WSK TV News’ best photographers and the husband of hot new anchor Lexi Jones, who took over for regular anchor Anna Andrews during her recent absence.
“Anna chose Richard as her photographer, and when she returned, she learned of a murder in Dahlonega as a reporter on the scene.”
The six-episode limited series comes from William Oldroyd and adapted from Alice Feeney’s novel. Oldroyd serves as writer, executive producer and will direct the first episode.
