Although Keanu Reeves’ assassin appears to have concluded his story in John Wick: Chapter 4 , the actor is executive producing a new sequel series that will pick up where the film left off .
According to Deadline, the potential series is called John Wick: Below the High Table and will introduce new characters trying to make a name for themselves in the world of assassins. Meanwhile, the High Table itself is “in a tenuous position,” likely because John Wick killed off most of the major power figures in the organization. The series’ description teases that some “series stalwarts” remain “committed to the old world order.”
“John Wick” director Chad Stahelski, who serves as an executive producer on the series alongside Reeves, will also direct the pilot. Robert Levine, co-creator of FX’s “The Old Man,” is writing the series for Lionsgate. However, the project currently has no streaming services or additional networks. Assuming the show continues, this will be the second TV spinoff in the series, following John Wick: The World of John Wick . The three-part miniseries will premiere on Peacock in 2023.
Deadline reports that John Wick: Chapter 5 is still in development. Additionally, a standalone spin-off film centered on Donnie Yen’s Kane was previously announced. Meanwhile, Ana de Armas will star in “John Wick: Ballerina,” which will be released on June 6, 2025.
