The release of Massive Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London was fraught with a number of teething technical issues that hampered many players’ attempts to delve into Ol’ Blighty in the first place.
While there are things you can do to reduce the frequency of mod crashes, the FOLON team is planning to make sure the process is more convenient for people who may not be used to hunting down Nexus Mods or messing with files.

As part of a recent interview with VG247 (which you can read more of in the coming period), Fallout London project manager Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter outlined where the team has been since launch, and what plans have to rectify the mod technical issues.
“So, in terms of the launch itself, it actually went a lot better than we thought,” Carter said. “Not going to lie, like any development project, you put your heart and soul into anything and eventually you find awareness. To, no matter how hard you try, everything is taped together, so, it’s better than we thought, but a lot of the issues that we had or people reported, they weren’t issues.
“Like the issue with train crashes, this is a well-known issue and it’s been reported a lot. We’ve never had this happen. If it had happened, we wouldn’t have released it. Our None of the testers encountered this.
“The biggest complaint we get is people installing the wrong thing and then they say it’s our fault. We know it’s not the easiest install on Steam. We do understand that and we try our best. But, Yes, we have a technical support team that is always helping when it comes to things like this.

So how will the update the team announced via Twitter last week help? “We’ve basically been working as if we never released the fact,” Carter told me.
“I believe the sequence we’re going to do is going to be a patch, which should basically include things like [the] Buffer 4 [mod],” he continued. “So, the kind of system that people are talking about is almost a requirement to operate, and we went and got those licenses. Obviously, people have been more willing to work with us since we launched, so now we’re going to do A patch, which should include something like Buffout 4, would help.
“In terms of what we call ‘floating patrols,’ where we might have assets slightly off the ground, in the air, etc., we’ve been fixing loads of those things,” he added. “The change log is becoming what we’ve fixed novella about things. [going] Work hard to fix these issues because we want people to have the best experience possible.
