The highly animated Fallout London mod from Team FOLON is finally here. This mod is essentially a new Fallout game, introducing new missions, weapons, locations, and more. In our video breakdown, GameSpot discusses whether this fan-made mod is worth downloading.
Downloading Fallout London will revolutionize Fallout 4.
The game itself starts like most Fallout games: you create a character and eventually leave an underground base. Once you reach the surface, you’ll board a train that shows you what’s left of London.
As the name suggests, the mod takes place in London, which is the first time players will be outside the United States. Even though it’s a fan-made mod, it has the look and feel that most players have come to expect from the series. What’s great about this mod is that it even has a futuristic double-decker bus, a red phone booth, and even real-world historical landmarks.
The studio made some changes to make Fallout London stand out from the original. For example, bottle caps are not the primary currency used. Instead, the game uses subway tickets. Fallout London’s early games were more linear, but the city was generally dense. It sacrifices large open areas and replaces them with smaller landscapes that often feel like mazes, and finding locations requires some legwork, which may put off some players.
