Instagram is making “views” its primary metric across all formats, meaning creators will be able to track the same metric across Reels, Stories, Photos, and more. According to a post on the Instagram creator account, the change will roll out in the coming weeks.
Instagram head Adam Mosseri wrote in a post: “Historically, we’ve shown different metrics for Reels and other posts, but we want to improve this to make it easier to understand how your content is performing regardless of What about the format. Mosseri said in the accompanying video that views are not the same as reach because the same person can view the same content multiple times.
While views may be the new leading metric, Mosseri also recommends that creators pay close attention to the volume sent per arrival. “This is probably the most important metric for anyone who wants to know how their content is performing on Instagram,” he said.
