According to reports, “Indiana Jones and the Big Circle” will be available on PS5 shortly after the exclusive game’s initial release later this year. Yes, this game about exploring crypts, fighting Nazis, and doing the same thing in reverse order could very well be the next cross-platform title as part of Xbox’s new strategy starting in 2024.
According to podcaster and industry insider Nate The Hate, Machine Games’ whiplash-swinging adventure will only have a short-lived exclusive period on Xbox before being caught up on PS5.

“MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Circle will release as a limited-time console exclusive on Xbox and PC this holiday season (December),” they said on Twitter. “After this limited-time exclusivity window expires, Indiana Jones and the Circle will and The Great Circle” is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2025. It has also released similar short films before introducing the game to PS5.

Given the timing of this latest announcement, and the fact that Geoff Keighley has already confirmed that Indiana Jones and the Big Circle will be revealed at Gamescom’s opening night live on August 20, Xbox will also be making a big presence at the show Skills, which naturally led to speculation that plans for Indy to come to PS5 may be announced during the event. So far, though, nothing has been confirmed, so don’t get too hyped up unless/until official confirmation drops.
Assuming Indy is indeed a success, it will follow in the footsteps of games such as Grounded, Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment, which are all coming to PS5, Switch as part of the Xbox program Or both.
That said, it’s clearly a bigger fish than those very good games, so it would represent a big step in Xbox’s plan to push more big games into the multi-platform realm.
