Indiana Jones is famous for a few things. hat. whip. archeology. But one of the things he’s most famous for is fighting fascists (Nazi or otherwise).
If you want to take your boxing game to the next level, you’ve come to the right place. Pull up your chair, because class is on now.
Basic combat moves
Let’s review the basic controls of mouse and keyboard and PS5 and Xbox controls (Keyboard/PS5/Xbox).
- Right mouse button/L2/LT – Punch with left hand
- Left mouse button/R2/RT – Punch with right hand
- V or left Alt/L1/LB (hold) – Raise your hands to block attacks
- V or Left Alt/L1/LB (click before attacking the connection) – Parry attacks and provide opportunities to counterattack
- F/R1/RB (tap) – Attack/disarm your opponent with your whip
- F/R1/RB (hold) – Use your whip to grab enemies and drag them towards you
- Space+move/X+move/square+move – Dodge in the direction you are moving
- R/R3/RS – Push enemies
You can catch vulnerable enemies
You can also press F/R1/RB when enemies are easily able to grab them. Pressing Q/Triangle/Y will let go, but you can also push them (R/R3/RT) into the environment/enemies/ledges and hit them with blows (right mouse button/L2/LT, left mouse button /R2 /RT).
Use simple melee weapons
Indy will extend his hand as you approach various items that he can grab and use as improvised weapons. Brooms, shovels, wrenches, toilet brushes, etc.
Picking up a melee weapon increases your attack damage. Melee weapons will also have a certain number of points, which are displayed in the lower right corner of the screen. This is the durability of the item. Once you hit the attack points, the item breaks, Indy drops it, and you need to find a new one (don’t worry, they’re everywhere).
You can also throw them, which is convenient. Hold down the right mouse button/L2/LT to aim the weapon you are holding, then press the left mouse button/R2/RT to throw it.
Pressing Square/X when you run out of ammo lets you use the revolver as a melee weapon. Breaking it means you have to find a repair kit and use it on the revolver before it can be used again.
whip
It’s important to hit the enemy’s position with powerp(F/R1/RB). Use F/R1/RB to hit enemies in sensitive areas and stun them. Hold their legs (F/R1/RB hold) and pull back to trip them up, opening them up for easier attacks.
