Independent toy retailers across the country are preparing for Neighborhood Toy Store Month (NTSM), an annual celebration organized by the American Specialty Toy Retailers Association (ASTRA). Neighborhood toy stores offer a selection of products, and many have Certified Toy Experts (CPEs) on staff.
ASTRA is promoting small businesses and providing membership toolkits to maximize sales. In this short video from Learning Express in Lake Zurich, Illinois, franchise owner Richard “Toy Man” Derr shares first-hand accounts of how local retailers are preparing for NTSM.
