I really enjoy playing trading card games. I’ve tried several throughout my life and lately I’ve been wanting to try something new. I heard rumors about a new product Elestras After a brief chat they were kind enough to send me a small package. Inside are two starter decks, two booster boxes, and even some extra bulk/blister packs. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone Elestras Team for all the good stuff.
The problem is because I’m brand new ElestrasI want to pace myself on these goodies. Below, you’ll see a video of me unpacking and starting the deck, but I kept the boosters. One features a dragon-like creature called the Kryoscorch, which possesses the powers of fire and ice. Another highlight is the Emperowatt, a frost and lightning penguin creature that I love. Basically, my plan is to learn the game a little bit with these starter decks so that I can learn more about the cards in the booster packs. Before I get to that point, I’ll share a few things that caught my attention Elestras.
First of all, I like art. It looks fun and vibrant. I also really appreciate them crediting the artists on the cards. I think every trading card game should standardize this. Secondly, the gameplay I saw looked familiar, but with a few small changes to make it feel more unique. Finally, after opening the starter deck, I learned that each deck comes with a rulebook (standard for many games), three booster packs (some other games have similar features), a d20 spinning die (very Cool) and a 1-card reference table (I’ve never seen this before). For new players, that last one is incredible!
Needless to say, I’m more than willing to really get into it Elestras and give it a try. Hopefully I’ll have a follow-up video and article ready in a few weeks. If you have played Elestrasplease let me know your thoughts in the comments below. If you don’t have it yet but think it looks cool, let’s explore it together.
