Deadline now reports Warner Bros. is interested in hiring Transformers: Rise of the Beast film producer Steven Caple Jr. directed this movie.
The studio has reportedly met with several directors for the project, but they want Caple Jr., who has previously worked with Jordan Creed II.
It was initially reported that the original director francis lawrencewas originally going to go back to direct, but I guess that’s not the direction the studio wants to go.
Goldsman also revealed at Comic-Con over the weekend that he’s also finished a second draft of the script i am legend 2 After meeting with Jordan and Smith.

Goldsman also confirmed previous reports that the sequel would follow the original film’s alternate ending. In this ending, before Neville sacrifices himself, he realizes that these dark seekers have wisdom and community, and they spare his life.
After surviving the encounter, Neville also went out to find survivors.
Kapoor Jr. hasn’t officially signed on to direct the project, but if he did sign on, it seems like a movie he’d love to make.
