Atlus’ new fantasy community simulation role-playing game Metaphor: Fantasia Released today, October 11th. Shin Megami Tensei and personabut is built around archetypes, which are classes with different proficiencies and roles to play in combat. There’s your RPG standards like sword-wielding warriors and element-twirling mages, there’s gimmicky archetypes like summoners with original mechanics, and there’s support-based characters like commanders who play the game’s positioning mechanics.
Every party member you recruit along the way metaphor Any archetype can be used, but you must unlock each archetype and its upgrade stages for each character. Some of these require you to upgrade archetypes in other bloodlines, while others are kept secret and have more arcane unlocking requirements that may surprise you later in the game after you’ve invested so much time specializing your character . Some prototypes are also gated metaphorfollower relationships, so you have to meet different characters and befriend them to unlock them.
If you want to know the requirements for each prototype ahead of time to avoid any surprises, we have a checklist of each prototype and their respective requirements. In addition to upgrading certain archetypes and reaching certain points in each relationship, you’ll also need enough Magla currency, which you can earn through battles, inspecting the coronation rocks in each town, bathing on ships, and engaging in conversations with your followers . The amount you need will fluctuate based on the depth of your relationship, as the cost decreases as you progress in the follower bond. Here’s a summary of each item:

Arriving late Metaphor: Fantasiayou’ll be able to unlock the ultimate archetype for each party member, called the Hero Avatar. These are the best versions of each character’s standard bloodlines, which means it’s worth spending some time on each character’s base class while trying out other characters. These all have their own requirements, spanning multiple other paths, so if you don’t know them ahead of time, you may find yourself having to grind through different classes to get the “best” class for each character.
