If you’re an absolute purist and want to see where this series begins, Ys I & II Chronicles It’s the most convenient way to play your first game Ys game. These remasters retain the gameplay of the original game and add some quality-of-life features. They’ve also added some exclusive extra content, and some of the Easter eggs in these games are quite enjoyable. Plus, you can get two games for the price of one, though Ys II is a direct continuation Ys I.

For those who love the absolute wildness of this combat system, you’ll want to delve into the original version Ys IV.
