When published, Diablo 4 It feels simple. It lacks basic quality-of-life features and interesting end-game content. Well, that’s slowly changing with each passing season, as Blizzard works to satisfy the terrifying appetite of level 100 players. Welcome to The Pit, which completely changes the amount of farm equipment you can farm after reaching max level in ARPGs.
For those of you who haven’t delved into the Underworld yet, here’s how to run Abyss in Diablo 4, as well as the rewards you’ll receive for completing a level!
How to enter the pit
While you’ll find the portal activator (an ominous-looking obelisk) on the side of Seriga’s central courtyard, you won’t be able to enter the Pit unless you meet a few requirements first. These include:
- Reach world level 4
- Complete level 46 Nightmare Dungeon
- Get rune fragments

Around level 60 to 70 and after completing the Capstone Dungeon, you can reach world level 4. This is relatively simple. Next up is conquering the Nightmare Dungeon at level 46 or higher. Now, it doesn’t matter which Nightmare Dungeon you choose, but we recommend picking something you’re familiar with, such as Lightwatch, Ruins of Goa, or Buried Halls.
Finally, you’ll need a lot of Rune Shards. We are not talking about a small group of people; You’ll end up wanting hundreds. You can farm Rune Shards in the following locations Diablo 4 By completing Nightmare Dungeons, Helltide, Legion Events, and Whispers.
Once you have met the necessary requirements, visit Cerrigar again and interact with the Portal Activator. Select an available level, starting with 1.
Tips for running The Pit
- Each time you die in the pit, your time to complete each level decreases until you inevitably run out of time and fail. Therefore, it’s best to increase survivability by actively working toward maximum armor level (9230), improved health, and increased elemental resistances.
- You can play the entirety of The Pit with up to four players. While only the host can earn all rewards after completing each tier, it’s still a great way to progress.
- As you complete levels and receive rewards, don’t forget to visit the blacksmith to improve your gear through crafting and quenching. You can enhance your power levels, add buffs and buffs to your core skills, and increase your overall damage at the same time.
- It’s easy to forget, so remember to repair your device before entering a new level! I can’t tell you how many times I forgot, which greatly reduced my ability to survive the rest of the dungeon!
Rewards for completing a run at The Pit
The rewards for running The Pit lead to bigger and better gear to enhance your building capabilities. Of course, after defeating each level’s boss, you’ll receive some unique legendary items, many of which end up in the trash. But in most cases, the reason to run The Pit (other than to test the potency of your build) is for scarce resources.
The mines will reward you with materials needed to craft gear, such as Obducite, Ingolith, and Neathiron. You’ll also receive the Styx Stone, which allows you to summon a tortured version of the game’s Uber boss.
Running pit Diablo 4 Full of challenges with 200 levels to tackle. Don’t worry if you can’t get into the final game content as it’s usually seen as a test to iron out any issues in the build. Pace yourself, adjust your skills and Paragon Board, and dive in!
