Vision of Mana It looks cute and casual on the surface, but there’s a surprisingly deep team building behind it. Each of the five characters can eventually equip one of eight classes, each with their own elemental plot and invested with elemental points. Unfortunately, although Spells learned in one profession can be carried over to another professionyou absolutely cannot have enough element points to learn everything at once. No big deal, as long as the game gives you a way to reassign the element map, right?
Vision of Mana There is indeed a way to respec your character, but you shouldn’t count on it when building your character. Consumables goddess scales Allows you to reset your character’s elemental plot progression, but this won’t be shown in bulk until Chapter Seven. For context, Chapter Seven is the beginning of the final act of the game, so you’ve seen most of the main story content at this point. Also, this is just a one-time project, so you can’t just use these to test new versions. Before using one of these, you need to plan exactly how to reassign the role.
That is to say, I strongly recommend not using Goddess Scales until you clear the main story Vision of Mana. If you’re wondering why, let’s dive into how Vision of Mana Progress after the game.
Where can I find the Goddess Scale? Vision of Mana
As stated above, Goddess Scales will not appear in Vision of Mana Until late in the game. You may encounter this item first open treasure chestluckily they’re marked right on your map screen. When you get all eight elements, you should be able to collect every treasure chest you see (except maybe the one hidden in the ruins, Although these should be feasible now). By my count, I got five Goddess Scales in this way.
Another source of goddess scales comes from grizzly exchange. You see, the name of the store Dudbear runs is “Badu badudu bub”. Starting in Chapter 7, you can purchase 5 Goddess Scales for 20 Grizzly Syrup each. Then, entering the post-game content after Chapter 9, you can purchase five additional Goddess Scales.
After the game is over, I found a total of fifteen goddess scales. This means 3 respecs per character, or 5 respecs for your main team if you don’t use anyone else. As far as I know, there is no other way to grind out Goddess Scales other than by replaying the game new games plus. While this should give you plenty of opportunities to customize your team exactly how you want, you still need to be careful before using them.
Why you should wait until after the game to use Goddess Scales
Throughout most of the main story Vision of Manayou will have access to the first two levels of each character’s element plot. If you explore the world and collect the available elements, you should have enough elemental points to try out the different classes and gain access to most of the spells that each character can learn on their own. Only in Chapter Seven do you start getting the third layer of each character’s elemental plot, at which point you should roughly decide which lessons each character can learn. Maybe your build isn’t as optimized as you’d like, but if you just focus on maximizing your team’s current primary class, you should do just fine.
The most important thing here is that Chapters Eight and Nine contain the game’s final dungeon and final boss respectively. Once you start looking for the Goddess Scales, the rest of the game is over.
After defeating the final boss, you will unlock the post-game Vision of Mana. Visit Dude Bear’s Grizzly Exchange again and not only can you purchase additional Goddess Scales, but you can also purchase supplements to unlock the final tier of each character’s elemental plot for a total of 100 Grizzly Syrup. A category that maximizes the elemental plot of any character, and surprisingly, it turns out Your base class can equip any skill from any class you have maxed out.
Yes, you now have cross-classification functionally, and you will need Reassign each role to take full advantage of the system. Instead of picking up useful skills from any line in the Elemental plot, you’ll need to reinvest all your points into two or three categories to build a build that can take on post-game super bosses.
If you’ve respected everyone in Chapter 7, you should have two more chances to respect the team in your pocket. But this leaves you with no chance to tweak your build, especially if you want to rethink your party after discovering that a super boss resists all elements of the game.
To be fair, Vision of Mana Didn’t show a very strong performance after the game. If you want to use the Goddess Scale before then, it’s not the end of the world. However, when facing the most difficult content in the entire game, you’ll be glad to have the extra safety in case you need to rethink your team. For safety reasons, please create additional save files after the game!
