hollow body is a short survival horror game The game takes you on a panic-stricken journey through the remnants of 22nd century England, 60 years after a terrorist attack infected the UK’s west coast with an unknown biological agent. As smuggler Mica Holloway, you have less than 20 hours to find your partner Sasha and escape quarantine across the UK. Otherwise, your fake security credentials will expire and you’ll be shot down by the defense grid before you can get home. This is already a difficult task, and then the undead monsters start to appear.
hollow body The story has three unique endings. Naturally, this cannot but involve spoilers. We’ll try to be gentle.
stranger on the roof
only two of them hollow bodyThe game’s three endings can all be replayed in-game, and all tie into the mandatory dialogue at the end of the first area.
When you reach the top floor of the apartment building, Mika eventually comes face to face with a suicidal human survivor.
The fate of this survivor, the stranger, is the only major branching point hollow bodystory. Depending on your conversation with him, he will either jump off the roof or choose to go with you. This determines which of the two regular endings you will receive.
if a stranger dies
If he dies, you’re locked reunion ending, and the eponymous achievement. However, there is one more exclusive achievement along the way.
After finding the fuse package at Star Supermarket, return to the apartment building the same way you came. While this may initially seem impossible due to a blocked tunnel in the sewers beneath the church, you can examine the passage near the ladder to find a new alternative route. Just keep looking around and you should eventually make your way back to the drainage area near the exit of the church.
Return to the apartment building and use one of the fuses on the fallen security shutter. This will raise it so you can return to the rest of the building. In addition to this, you can now return to the parking lot via the initial entry point in the storage room.
The body of the stranger lay leaning against the wall of the building. Search his body for an exclusive memorandum of events.
At the time of writing this article, this is Logomania Achievement earned by finding all other memos in the game. However, it does unlock a secret achievement living with ghosts.
if the stranger were still alive
If he were still alive you could get Ruiwen ending, and the eponymous achievement.
Getting strangers to step off ledges can be tricky. If you choose to answer Tex’s radio call instead of continuing the conversation, he’ll definitely jump, but that’s not the only trigger. The key seems to be to show him sympathy rather than try to change the subject or bend him for information.
We find that in this conversation, the following choices will allow the stranger to survive:
- “Excuse me…”
- “Bad things don’t always make you a bad person.”
- “Do you live here?”
- “I’m looking for someone…”
- (ignore broadcast)
Be careful not to skip dialogue during this sequence. It’s easy to kill a stranger if you accidentally select the first dialogue option on the menu.
If the stranger turns away from the window and sits down, he is temporarily out of danger.
Strangers will now follow you for most of the remaining time hollow body. Fortunately, enemies don’t seem to notice him, he’s immune to friendly fire, and although he’s wounded, he moves just as fast as you. Just complete the rest of the game like normal and you’ll get the Riven ending.
secret ending
when you clear hollow body On Casual or Expected difficulty, you can unlock a new setting: Punishment.
While punished, Mika takes more damage, to the point where she can only take two or three hits from standard enemies before dying.
Killed enemies also don’t stay dead unless you use Mika’s lighter or flamethrower to burn their corpses. Other changes are relatively minor, but there is much less room for error.
If you can clear Punishment difficulty with three or fewer Healing Sprays (including the one taken from the ambulance at the start of the game), you will receive a new ending. This will unlock the secret achievement latitudewhich is also a nod to a popular joke silent Hill series.
Before trying Woof, it might be helpful to do a “rehearsal” in Punished. The reward for beating the game in Punished is a new melee weapon, the Scissor Blade, which helps a lot.
You don’t have to worry about anything other than the damage you’ve sustained, So save the scum as you like. As long as you’ve healed Mika 3 times or less by the time you defeat the final boss, you’re on Wulf’s path.
independent developer hollow body Joking that he might not have finished the game yet, but for now, this is how you get all three endings and their associated achievements.
