    possible put It was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, but the design aesthetic of Star Wars is heavily influenced by the 1970s. Updating your wardrobe while staying true to the blueprint is no easy task. Interesting interview with Jennifer Bryan from No Film School:

    I started my preparations in the United States and ended up giving my first big speech to Katherine Kennedy in June. When I was doing my research, I thought, “Wow, Jedi colors!” I’m a colorist, and this is one of the tools I rely on heavily when designing period-related content. If I could add the right color to it, I would.

    So I started doing my presentation, and I knew that the Jedi had appeared in Star Wars imagery, but because the timeline was a hundred years ago, I still had over a hundred years to go. Almost like a prequel. I know I still have room. I stabbed it. I thought, “I think the uniforms and color palette of the Jedi might be a little different, not too far off, but a little different than what we know.”
