Self-generated AI agents, called “agent AI,” have the potential to change the way professionals simplify processes, enhance attendee experience and optimize logistics.
“Think of it as a set of AI systems that work together to handle more complex tasks,” said Anca Platon Trifan, senior manager of global strategic partners, event technology and AI, conferences and incentives for strategic partners, event technology and incentives for event technology and incentives.
The transformation is happening rapidly. Deloitte predicts that 25% of companies using AI will launch proxy AI pilots this year, growing to 50% in 2027.
For planners, this new AI could change the way they manage everything from inspiring travel to large meetings.
For example, for incentivized travel, generated AI might suggest a range of popular destinations, but proxy AI can take a step further by analyzing weather conditions, venue availability, flight choices and car rentals, making itineraries, and even booking everything.
Agent AI is expected to demand
“These proxy AISs are more autonomous, target-oriented and proactive. They expect to need and act on them,” Trifan said.
The conference reviewed several AI tool activity professionals can use for specific tasks, including:
- Note: Laptop
- Event Summary and Thought Leadership: Chatgptl, Claude, Confused, Gork 3, Meetgeek and Fireflies.
- Personalized follow-up activities: Claude, Lindy AI and hyperwriting.
- Video and audio content readjustment: Opus Clip, Capcut, Descript AI, Adobe Firefly, Meetgeek, Otter.ai and Elevenlabs.
- Image and 3D content creation: Dall E, Midjourney
- Photo Sharing: Kampfire
Kampfire uses photos to keep the event’s message going
Asaf Shuster, founder and CEO of Kampfire, joined Trifan. Kampfire is an afterthought participant engagement tool that reuses the content of the event, especially the photos.
ICIS is an example of the Information Systems Association meeting. Kampfire distributed 1,200 photos of the event to 1,600 attendees and provided personalized photo albums. The results showed 51,887 social media impressions.
