Dragons, dragons, and more dragons!
It feels like we’ve been waiting for years for the dragon content that Dragons Season 2 Episode 7 has to offer.
Frankly, this entire season has been a Dragons fan’s dream.
I realize dragons were never supposed to be a major event in Game of Thrones, but we do love it when we see them, don’t we?
Thankfully, House of the Dragon doesn’t skimp on the winged beasts, and we even got an extra helping of help in this explosive episode.
This is the penultimate episode of House of the Dragon season 2, so we’re sure to see some big reveals and a cliffhanger. No surprises there.

With several new dragonriders joining the cast, Queen Rhaenyra has a rather important statement to make heading into the finale.
Whether she can take down Aemond and Vega with her bastard bastards and ancient hungry dragons will likely depend on her ability to organize them.
House of the Dragon Season 2 “The Rise of the Bastard and the Commoner” Episode 7
The biggest takeaway from this episode is that the early theory was correct: bastards and people of humble origin can actually bond with dragons. This proved to be a blow to some people’s egos, including Jace, who took his status as Dragon King very seriously.
We were made aware of this, of course, last week when the Sismok allied itself with Hull’s Adamu and boarded the Adamu.
But now that Hugh (possibly Viserys and Daemon’s cousin) and Ulf (who claims to be Viserys and Daemon’s brother) have jumped into their own saddles, this has been further clarified.
Of course, it’s not all victory and celebration.
Dozens of hopeful dragon knights languished in the search for the right one.
Since Rhaenyra only uses Vermithor as a bonding option, she seems to only expect a success story from her efforts.
This is probably for the best. Unfortunately, Ulf and his new dragon companions are heading straight for Vhagar’s wrath.
But we can’t forget that there’s another potential rider hiding in the wings (ha, get it? Wings?).
Arin wants nothing to do with dragons or war, and prefers to live his life the way he’s always wanted to, which begs the question:
As part of Rhaenyra’s Council, is Corlys obligated to reveal that he is Adam’s father – and that he has another son who might also join her?

At this point, Kolisi doesn’t have much to lose as long as they’re honest, and it helps their team.
Still, Corliss may have chosen to protect Allin by keeping his secret, and who could blame him?
JUST AVAILABLE: House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 7 “Daemon” Is Still Crazy
Things continued to go downhill for Daemon at Harrenhal.
The princess may have been trying to keep up appearances, but his behavior was revealing.
If it’s not the nightmares and hallucinations of his dead family that haunt him, it’s the appearance of cheeky teenage boys that have replaced him.
Lord Oscar Tully took a big risk when he challenged Daemon.
Tully made it clear that his intention was still to serve Rhaenyra. When he first appeared in House of the Dragons Season 2 Episode 4, he stated that his home was Team Black. He also made sure Daemon had no doubts about what the new lord thought of him.
If it were me, I probably wouldn’t deliberately provoke a man like Damon.
But if Tully had no other choice, he had guts, and all the river lords knew it by now.
Viserys returns to deliver an ominous message in a vision of Daemon, who looks more like the Crypt Keeper than anyone else.
Warnings that the crown is nothing more than a burden are not new. In fact, Alice Rivers just said the same thing about Damon on House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6 .
The fact that this sentiment has been expressed to Dimon multiple times, and that he still seeks the crown for himself, is a testament to Dimon’s motivation.

Are there types of dragons?
Apparently, it doesn’t take a particularly noble heart to ride a dragon (see: Aemond Targaryen).
Ever since Jacaerys bonded with Vermax, we’ve known that actual birth isn’t a prerequisite either.
Nor does one need to be born into wealth and luxury. Just ask Adam, Hugh and Ulf.
So what qualities, other than having a drop of Velaryon or Targaryen blood, would qualify someone to bond with a dragon?
It will be interesting to see what else, if anything, these new Dragon Knights have in common with each other.
The Greens continue to do basically nothing on House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 7
Alicent was clearly in need of time off last week after she was sacked by her own son for misogynistic attitudes.

In Dragon House Season 2 Episode 7, Allison walks into the woods with a guard. Apparently she needed a fun, refreshing camping trip. She even said she wasn’t sure she wanted to return to King’s Landing.
I firmly believe that if Alison came to her senses and asked Rhaenyra to take her in, she would.
Alas, Allison was too proud to do such a thing. She’ll probably end up sulking back to the castle at some point.
Okay, okay, not all Greens are in tents or beds.
As soon as Aemond saw Ulf riding towards King’s Landing on Silver Wings, he jumped towards Vega.
Unless Rhaenyra and her other new riders catch up to Ulf, I fear this is the last we’ll see of this guy. Of course, I will miss his facial expressions.
Remarkably, I felt chills run through my body when Vega appeared on the screen. What a terrifying creature she is.
Another dragon battle is about to take place in the skies near you
Vermithor might be able to fight her, though. Also, Rhaenyra did say that Vermithor was the second largest dragon in the world.
With a name like Vermithor, I think we’ve found a contender.
As we prepare for next week’s finale, I’m bracing myself for the worst.
It’s a bloody series that finally comes to an end after two years of waiting for House of the Dragon Season 2.
Ahead of the season finale, we’d love to hear your thoughts on the future!
We know the show has chosen to stray from the source material multiple times, so anything could happen.
Let us know what you’d like to see and we’ll see you next week!
