While exhibitors are closing their doors and attendees are leaving the show floor, there are many different things to do outside San Diego Comic-Con. The company holds all-nighters. There are parties celebrating pop culture and comics. Some are exclusive. Some are first come, first served.
In this case, at SDCC 2024, Honkai Star Rail hosted a party at BAIT on Saturday night. Both companies want to celebrate the game’s sell-out, especially since it recently announced a costume collaboration with HOYOVERSE’s popular turn-based role-playing game.
Today, BAIT is a store in downtown San Diego that sells everything you need if you love fashion, art, and pop culture. They sell the latest shoes, art toys, clothing collaboration capsules, and even statues. The store usually hosts parties during Comic-Con and sometimes has special collaborations.
From the moment you walk in the door you’ll be greeted by the smell of new sneakers, clothes and vinyl toys. Megatron and Soundwave greet you as you enter, and the store stretches out to the back like a TARDIS filled with pop culture goodies.
Now at the party, down-to-earth staff had plenty of drinks for those over 21 and handed out wristbands to ensure people drank responsibly. Cosplayers were also in attendance, dressing up like their favorite characters come to life. Fans had the opportunity to take photos as the music was on point and people were having fun among friends and meeting new people.
If that’s not all, fans of the game at the party also received special gifts at various times during the event, which ranged from official merchandise from the game to sold-out hoodies from the collaboration. The atmosphere at the party is really fun, with people gathering around talking about the game, the company, or the scam itself.
That being said, if you’re going to have a Saturday night Comic-Con party, BAIT’s Honkai Impact Party is the place to be.
