After all, there might be some good in the SAG-AFTRA strike, as the fall airing season is dominated by high-potential shows that are incredible to watch.

It turns out that paying writers fairly means quality writing—groundbreaking stuff.

Even before its debut, the series had a solid, certified fresh rating on everyone’s favorite review aggregator. However, the real indicator is audience response, and I have a feeling this show will be loved by viewers.

“High Potential” is filled with great writing and top-notch performances from TV veterans who know how to shine on the small screen.

Kaitlin Olson displays amazing versatility as she switches seamlessly between the show’s different tones

Kaitlin Olson is a familiar face in the comedy genre, having starred in some of the most famous movies and shows.

She is literally my favorite character in Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy’s movie “The Heat.”

I wonder if she had to play a Ukrainian drug dealer, or what kind of character research was involved in a venture like this.

Of course, we have to mention one of America’s longest-running live-action sitcoms, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which still has several more seasons to go.

Yes, it’s still going on, and it’s still sunny. If you’re late to the party, trust me, I get caught up easily. It’s a dark, comical hole that’s easy to fall down. If you decide to fall down the rabbit hole, let your loved ones know.

Now, back to the lovely Miss Olsen, who finally flexes her dramatic muscles in High Potential. Of course, the show still has incredible comedy, but there’s a lot of heart here, too.

Kaitlin Olson displays amazing versatility as she switches seamlessly between the show’s different tones.

Shows like High Potential are shining a light on possible trends for female-led dramas

From the beginning of the series, it was clear that, despite its similarities to other police procedurals and genius-centered shows, High Potential would take viewers on an entirely new adventure.

First of all, Olsen’s character Morgan is very eccentric and has a camp feel to it in all the right places.

I looked at the closet and couldn’t help but think of a red-haired lawyer-turned-detective named Elsbeth Tascioni.

Why do female geniuses like Elsbeth and Morgan always wear a ridiculous outfit, while male geniuses like Monk and House wear completely normal outfits?

It basically says, “These women are unheard of, there’s no way they dress like ‘normal’ women,” and to the man, “Oh, he’s really smart. Why is he dressed differently than everyone else?”

I might grasp at straws, but usually where there’s smoke there’s fire. Look, we’ve made huge strides over the years in the way we portray women and minorities. But there are still some little things that get overlooked.

However, this is my only gripe with High Potential, because the first episode was so great! Kaitlin Olson delivers a captivating performance with clever dialogue from a lovable character.

The greatest strength of high potentials is not how smart the protagonist is, but how they relate to people

Since the series is an Americanized version of the French series, High Potential has plenty of material to work with. I have to say, I am not a “programmed” audience.

However, you better believe I am 100% obsessed with this show! I’ll watch it. The series’ greatest strength isn’t how smart its protagonist is, but how relatable it is.

Shows like “The Good Doctor” and “Sherlock” present characters who are incredibly intelligent, but who are fundamentally eccentric and different.

Through Morgan, “High Potential” presents viewers with an ordinary mother who does her best to provide a good and stable life for her family.

She has legal responsibilities. She did not devote her life to pursuing a career or becoming a world leader in science or medicine.

Although Morgan can spot “errors” and care about others like Truffle Pig, she is far from a “Mary Sue.”

High Potential cracks the code on making learning fun for adults of any age

“High Potential” still risks upsetting some viewers. Although its premise is interesting and its protagonist is quirky, some viewers may be put off by the show’s over-the-top elements.

How many furry animal print jackets can costumes fit into this role?

I’m sure the series will change shape when people realize the similarities between High Potential and Elsbeth. If I saw Morgan walking out of a police station, my first thought wouldn’t be that she’s a counselor. Optics are interesting.

Regardless, I salute the high potentials who figure out how to make learning fun. Do you know the facts about the Catholic Church? Absolutely not!

I will never look at another steeple the same way again. The morbid pleasure most people get from a series like High Potential is staggering. We like to have the beginning, middle and end explained to us like children.

The irony of “High Potential” is that the show is about a character with amazing analytical skills, but viewers will analyze Caitlin Olsen’s character to understand how and why she does what she does.

You know what this means, right? invest! Audiences will be hooked in no time!

High potentials are likeable, relatable, and genuinely interesting

High Potential is not just a wisdom series; This is also very interesting.

If you watched the first episode, you know that whenever Morgan explains her theories, it’s always through the lens of her perspective. That’s how we got that adorable shot of the wife opening the curtains.

It’s fun to write right there. “High Potential” gives viewers a look into the inner world of a man who is not only talented, but also likable, relatable and genuinely funny.

If you watched House without any friction but found Morgan unbearable, you might want to do some soul-searching.

There’s only one episode left of High Potential and I’m ready to announce a second season.

As an unexpected Kaitlyn Olsen fan, I’m praying this series has a longer shelf life than the actress’ previous project, The Mick.

If you haven’t seen The Mick yet, I highly recommend you go watch the crap that is this truly insane show. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on Hulu and Disney+.

As for High Potential, I watch every episode of this great series over and over again to bring you the most in-depth coverage possible.

But I also love this show, and if it continues in the direction that the pilot did, it will have lifelong fans.

However, life rarely makes anything perfect, so I fully expect there will be more setbacks for high potentials in the future, but for now, I’m just trying to enjoy the fun ride.

Do you think Morgan went too far or just right?

Are you planning on watching the rest of the season with TV Fanatic?

Leave a comment below and let me know what you love about this show or any other show, and join me again when I review the next episode of High Potential!
