As the song goes, “The Hess Toy Truck is back and better than ever,” celebrating its 60th anniversary.
This year’s edition features an action-packed emergency response trio: a fire truck, fire chief’s car and rescue motorcycle, each packed with lights, sounds, motors and more, all powered by the included Energizer battery.
The classic red cab-forward ladder fire truck features white side stripes, gleaming chrome details and an emergency light bar that flashes 43 colors of red, white and blue lights. The switch under the casing can switch between constant light mode and flashing mode. Four buttons on top of the cab control unique sounds such as truck horns, European emergency sirens and more, each synchronized with animated lights.
The three-tier ladder extends over 15 inches and rotates 360 degrees, with two rotating searchlights on each side for maximum visibility. The fire truck also houses a fire marshal car and motorcycle, with push-button release ramps and sound effects for easy deployment.
The fire chief car features white racing stripes, tinted windows, chrome accessories and a rear spoiler with 37 lights that flash in steady mode. Its pullback motor ensures quick response to any emergency situation.
The final member of the team is the rescue motorcycle. Riders in chrome safety suits operate the rev-release bike, which amplifies the action from wheelie position, headlights and taillights illuminated steadily.
