Folks, it’s a great day for managed democracy. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant, Hellraiser 2 The soundtrack is now available for streaming. Now wherever you go, freedom follows. You can take it with you on the road, on the train, to the gym, or like me, have a blast in the comfort of your own room. It brought tears to my eyes.
Featuring multiple orchestral and pulsing electronic scores from the hit co-op shooter, the soundtrack was unceremoniously released on the streaming service earlier today by Arrowhead Studios. The score, composed by Wilbert Roget, II, is absolutely full of pageantry. It’s all here, from the theme song that I’ve grown accustomed to hearing when the screen is idle, to the tracks that play when you’re fighting a Terminator or a robot, hell diverenemy.
Listening to the soundtrack is a great reminder how important Hellraiser 2scores for the fantasy it successfully portrays Since its release in February this year. For example, I’ve always taken for granted how low-key and techy the music in your starship is, which feels like the right call to action for an area that gradually gets better as you progress through the levels and unlock new strategies. Upgrades and enrichments, buffs and weapons. It contrasts nicely with the victory music that plays when you jump into the pod. Landed on the planet’s surface as part of a “liberation” effort. The soundtrack is great at instilling a false sense of pride – which is completely in line with what the game is about. starship troopers Influence– Get ripped apart and eviscerated by the enemy time and time again as you carry out hellish missions in the name of an overtly fascist regime.
However, I want to focus specifically on the song called “Super Earth Anthem” because why on earth is it so good? I’ve played Hellraiser 2 Quite a lot, and The coverage doesn’t stop therebut I had never heard of it until today, despite evidence that players discovered it in the game long ago. Here’s a sample piece of trashy propaganda for the Super Earth anthem:
“Liberty must reign in every star, through the blood of citizens shed in our just wars/Respecting their deaths, doing their part for the cause
Firm support for our regime is the supremacy of mankind/Do not allow any doubts and doubts, tractors will be denied.”
Now imagine this being sung by a beaming choir. Or worse, imagine kids singing it every morning before class or at graduation. I don’t like the American national anthem, but at least we don’t explicitly sing “citizens’ blood was shed in our just wars.” I immediately needed a documentary about life on a super-Earth colony, which is truly a horrific thing. The bright side is that you can now play music like this in your car every Fourth of July if you want. Isn’t democracy great?
