Helldiver 2 has always been a parody of itself in terms of narrative, and Arrow embraces the absurdity of all its Starship Troopers -esque declarations of patriotic fervor. The game’s community has embraced this many times with rather hilarious role-playing flair, but its latest instance might be the most unexpected.
First off, you’ve no doubt heard the backlash against some of the balance changes coming to the Free Leveling Update, and Arrow has now released a full plan in response. Well, this snowballed into an in-game protest as frustrated players tried to get robots to reach Super Earth in the game’s Galactic War, and the protest has now taken on a whole life of its own.

If you head to the Helldivers 2 subreddit today, you’ll probably see a bunch of posts mentioning a group called “Chaosdivers,” which seems to be the name players came up with for the movement among themselves that wants to see Super. Lost faith in the original Hellstalker’s cause.
Seriously, there are a few memes featuring characters promoting both for and against this new movement, in a similar style to many of Malevelon Creek’s posts from earlier this year – one even came up with a concept for the in-game Chaosdivers , including one that the community seems to have settled on.
“Your eyes have been opened. In order to be free, you abandoned your home and bathed in the blood of your brothers. Your actions will have consequences. The children of Super Earth will burn with the fire of your wrath. You Won’t regret it,” the cape’s description reads. Avant-garde stuff.
It does seem a bit confusing as to whether those who consider themselves Chaos Divers are their own independent faction or are essentially joining forces with the robots they’ve been trying to help take over Super Earth by refusing to fight back, but hey, things aren’t usually black or white White.
There’s even some debate over whether Arrowhead should add the Chaosdivers to the game as some kind of real faction, which most players seem to support, assuming the group is just a faction of human enemies rather than by letting people choose to join the group A way to add PvP to the game.
