“The Fire Is Finally Here” does a great job of establishing the identity of the series. The focus is entirely on the intimate character work and how secrets between people open doors to tortured ghosts. Given that every line of dialogue has the potential to sow discord between four people, this story is worth more than anything else for the horror it descends on. Also, the episode’s parting shot wasn’t entirely necessary and even felt a bit out of place. None of these things ruin the experience, but they are noticeable.
