Last night, the Halloween & Costume Association (HCA) held its inaugural Spooky Awards at the Las Vegas Halloween & Party Expo.
The new honor focuses on “outstanding artistry, craftsmanship and marketable creativity, recognizing creators who capture the true spirit of Halloween.”
The judging panel includes retail buyers, industry experts and editors –President of a toy industry trade magazine [Spoiler Alert: It’s me] The awards were announced last autumn and nominees and finalists were evaluated based on key criteria such as innovation, marketability and trend-setting potential.
