director Guillermo del Toro Recently shared his thoughts on the director osgood perkinsrecently released horror thriller movies long legs.
A lot of people are calling this the scariest movie of the year, but I didn’t find it scary at all. I was really excited about the movie, but it didn’t live up to the marketing hype.
Still, there are people who like it, and Del Toro is one of them. He praised the film and the director, saying: “Legs (2024) is a great Ozzie Perkins movie – 100% his vibe. When a colleague does a great job while staying true to what made him This is gratifying when it comes to the pace and themes of his career.
He continued: “Love the melancholy of that evil Tiny Tim-esque Cage (our last and best expressionist performer) of Satanic Panic: a closed maze where evil devours the stroller.
“And there’s Perkins’ weird, super-dry (quasi-exfoliating) humor: T-Rex, the occasional sarcastic line ‘You’ll still be in the kitchen.'” It’s not as scary as usual, nor Normally so scary.
“It shows the same focus and fear of the universe that Ozzy has had from the beginning. It’s his vibe and his signature, and I’m glad he’s letting more people know about it.
Perkins previously said of the film: “I couldn’t see the real things. I didn’t like them. They weren’t for me. I didn’t want to know.
“All this stuff is fiction, completely fictional. That’s part of the fun of it [for] I. Like, ‘Oh, that’s probably how the FBI people talk. Oh, that’s probably how they got into the room.
“I don’t know, maybe that’s the case.” Honestly, it’s part of what keeps me relaxed. I’m not interested in what these sick people do. To me, it’s a different kind of poem, you know, it’s just completely fictional.
I just think the brilliant lines of this movie destroyed me. It got me hyped for a great horror movie, one that would actually scare me, something like that hasn’t happened in a long time, but it didn’t live up to that. Even the story fell flat to me.
In the story, “As the case takes complicated turns and mysterious evidence is unearthed, Huck discovers a personal connection to a ruthless killer and must race against time to stop him before he takes the life of another innocent family.”
If you’ve seen this movie, what did you think?
