Google recently started letting you ask questions about your Gmail inbox on the web using its Gemini AI chatbot, and now the feature is coming to mobile devices. The company said its Gmail Q&A feature has started rolling out on Android and that the feature will be coming to iOS “soon.”
With Gmail Q&A, “You can ask Gemini questions about your inbox, or take actions like finding specific details in an email, showing you unread messages, viewing messages from a specific sender, or Summarize emails about a topic in your inbox,” Google blog post. Google previewed Gmail Q&A at its I/O conference earlier this year.
Gmail Q&A can be a potentially useful way to sift through email or find content that might be hiding deep in your inbox. However, please note that this feature is not available to all users: you need to subscribe to Google One AI Premium or use a Google Workspace plan that includes the Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium plug-in.
Gmail Q&A is rolling out starting Thursday, and Google says it can take up to 15 days to show it to you.
