After a brief greeting to the audience, the screening Goodbye, Dragon LifeThe first episode kicks off immediately. The story here tells of a dragon whose long and near-eternal life was ended by humans and reincarnated into the body of a young man named Dolan. Dolan lives a quiet life in his hometown, where he mainly trains and fishes. One day, he was sent to investigate the local swamp for giant lizard sightings. Instead, he finds a young Lamian girl named Selina and saves her from a giant monster, as he learns that she is looking for a husband since her race is exclusively female. However, despite some interest in Dolan, she decided to continue her journey elsewhere, and the premiere ended with the two going their separate ways.
It’s hard to talk about this issue other than in general summaries because, for the most part, nothing really happens. I wish the main character was a reincarnated dragon instead of a hero with maxed-out attributes or an all-powerful demon lord, that would be more interesting. Still, Dolan doesn’t have a standout protagonist. If anything, I’m more interested in his life as a dragon, as it’s implied that he lived a solitary life before being attacked by humans, for no reason other than fear, but aside from some vague information , we didn’t get much information.
Selina is probably the only standout here, as her awkward personality and failed attempts to seduce Dolan with magic are probably the funniest parts of the entire episode, so she’ll likely be an interesting character when she eventually returns. Sadly, like Dolan’s mysterious past, it’s not enough to make up for the rest of the episode’s numbers. Since nothing really happened between her and Dolan, the premiere wasn’t exciting. If nothing else, the show looks pretty good without being offensive to watch. Still, it doesn’t stand out compared to similar reincarnation stories, and even if you like this kind of show, it feels like there are plenty of other options if you want to have a good time. Maybe things will pick up where the premiere left off, but I can’t say it left much of an impression right now.
Goodbye, Dragon Life It will premiere in October 2024. Crispy roll The series will be broadcast in North America
