Sony’s Mars A TV show currently in development by Amazon will reportedly be rebooted two years after it was first announced. The adaptation reportedly lost its showrunner and lead producer as the two companies looked to take existing scripts in different creative directions.

While the game’s director Cory Barlog remains an executive producer on the project, other creative leadership appears to be no longer involved.
“so what [showrunners] Rafe Judkins and Mark Fergus [writer] Hawk Ostby came up with the idea for the first season, and I think the show is both true to the source material and compelling in its own right,” Vernon Sanders, head of Amazon TV said at the time. “So we thought it was going to be huge.” Apparently not!
This is the second time a PlayStation adaptation has struggled despite HBO’s success.
