“Ghost” reveals the spirit that dragged Isaac into the dirt. Mary Holland (“The Doors,” “Veep”) will play Puritan ghost Patience in the upcoming fourth season, the news was announced during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. Dean Norris (“The United States,” “Breaking Bad”) will guest star as Rose MacIver’s character Samantha, the estranged father.
Patience died in the late 1600s and was abandoned underground when Isaac sneezed and let go of her hand, causing her to be lost in the dirt since 1895. And get revenge on Isaac this season. In the Season 4 premiere, viewers will meet Patience and learn her plans for Isaac. Throughout her life, Patience was harsh and critical even by Puritan standards, and was banished from the village for being “a little too much.”
Sam’s father, Frank, is described as a kind and well-intentioned man, but has a troubled history with Sam. Frank and his new girlfriend arrive at Woodstone for his first visit in years. Frank and Sam have struggled to remain close since Frank divorced Sam’s mother when Sam was 10 years old. Sam is forced to confront these feelings when a new ghost in Woodstone forces him to have an awkward conversation with his father.
Ghost Season 4 premieres Thursday, October 17 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
