The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which presents the Academy Awards, announced on October 31 that it would be adding a new collection of artifacts to its collection. Includes 80 animated artworks Hayao Miyazaki and Noboru Yoshida from Studio Ghibli Movie rollbackJapanese movie posters from the studio – and a complete animator’s desk.

The museum has also added information from Pinocchio (1940), fantasia (1940), and lion king (1994); handwritten script draft pulp Fiction (1994); and 70 mm film print lawrence of arabia (1962), ryan’s daughter (1970), and Oppenheimer (2023).
Matt Severson, executive vice president for collections and conservation at the College, said:
We are delighted to welcome these iconic pieces to our collection. Under the supervision of our skilled team of researchers, conservationists and curators, the Academy’s collections play a key role in shaping the future of filmmaking. We are grateful to our donors for their extraordinary gifts to the Academy and their commitment to preserving our film history.
There was no mention of if or when the newly acquired items would be on display at the museum.
