Special editions are often the best way to get a game you might have missed at launch, especially if the game saw expansion packs and downloadable content after release. Many times, you can grab the game and All the good stuff in one simple package. That’s the case with Fanatical’s Build Your Own Special Edition bundle, which includes post-launch versions of some top games, including Dishonored, Fallout: New Vegas, Icepunk, and more.
As is usually the case with Fanatical bundles, the more games you buy, the lower the price of each game. You can buy two games for $7, or $3.50 each; three games for $3.33 each, for a total of $10; or five or more games for $3 each. There are 17 games available in the Fanatical bundle, and there’s no cap – every game after the first 5 is only $3 each, so you can get all the games available in the bundle for just $51.
The bundle features top-notch AAA games and strong indie titles, primarily from publisher Bethesda. Bethesda’s special edition games in the bundle all include massive expansions – Dishonored Definitive Edition includes its DLC episodes The Knife of Dunwall and The Witches of Brigmore; Fallout 3 The Game of the Year Edition gives you Operation Anchorage, USS Pitt, Shattered Steel, Lookout Point, and Zeta; the Wolfenstein Two-Pack includes Wolfenstein: The New Order and its prequel chapter “Old Blood”.
On the standalone side, Frostpunk: Game of the Year Edition includes the base game and its season pass, which adds three expansion packs, as well as a digital soundtrack and digital artbook. You can buy the Giana Sisters Trilogy Pack, which includes all three games in the series, and get the old-school boomer shooters Dusk, Dusk ’82, and Amid Evil in one package.
Fanatical has released some other impressive bundles of late. The Elder Scrolls Bundle includes six games for just $16; the Build Your Own Summer Superstar Collection brings Resident Evil 3 Remastered, Ghostwire Tokyo and Devil May Cry HD Collection; Build Your Own Bundle: Warhammer 40,000 Battles offers a range of turn-based gameplay.
