Japanese novel club is publishing a novel series and twelve one’s English comic adaptation, which describes the story:
Life had not been kind to Zenos. He was born in a slum, and his poor background deprived him of almost all opportunities. After meeting a healer, he threw himself into studying to become a healer, and finally got a break when an adventurer invited Zenos to join his party. Zenos was excited—so excited, in fact, that he was willing to put up with his teammates treating him like garbage. They failed to appreciate his talent and eventually kicked him to the curb, claiming he had no use for them anymore.
Now stripped of his money and options, Zenos decided to put his self-taught skills elsewhere and opened an underground clinic. Word spread quickly about the talented healer working incredible magic in the city’s murky underbelly. Even the palace noticed…
Can Zenos overcome the odds and carve out a life for himself in a world that has done nothing but spit in his face? Can he save the lives of the patients who come to his doorstep?
