The Toy Association is changing its leadership role.
Kathrin Belliveau will join the association later this month as chief policy officer.
In this newly created role, Beliveau, who most recently served as Hasbro’s executive vice president and chief purpose officer, will manage global regulatory affairs and representation, toy safety and ethics initiatives, marketing and strategic communications, and consumer outreach. She will also oversee the global government and regulatory affairs and strategic communications functions.
As the industry continues to face new challenges and changing landscapes, Katherine’s executive leadership, broad expertise and her deep network across the industry will be a valuable resource and benefit to our members and global toy companies.
Ed Desmond, the Toy Association’s executive vice president of global government and regulatory affairs, will step down from his position to pursue other opportunities.
“We are deeply grateful for Ed’s dedication to the global toy community and his leadership within the association,” Ahearn said. “Ed is a tremendous resource to our members and the industry as a whole. He will continue to work with us through the end of the year to ensure a seamless leadership transition before launching a new consulting business.
