We’d like to share with you a few new photos from director Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie À Deux, which focus on Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) and Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) in court, a possible escape from Arkham Asylum, and more.
In the film, Arthur Fleck is sent to Arkham Asylum to await trial for playing the Joker. While grappling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also discovers the music that has always existed within him.
Arthur forms a strong bond with Quinn, and together they embark on a journey filled with violence and music.
Phoenix said of his inspiration for the sequel: “That’s the only way I’m going to make any movie. If you don’t feel like it’s dangerous, if you’re not likely to fail miserably, then… what’s the point?”
Phillips added: “That’s really the reason for doing it. The only reason Joaquin would even do a sequel is if it scared him. The one thing he really felt in the first movie was this fear, Every day, this sickening fear like “What the fuck are we doing? ”
