Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth’s producer promises the final game will be “exactly what fans have been waiting for” based on the feedback Square Enix has received on the first two games

In a recent interview with the developers of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, the game director expressed some bold feelings about the third and final installment.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake and its follow-up Rebirth have been among the most anticipated games for fans of the original game for years, and after all this time, we’re getting closer and closer to the final version. Square Enix recently shared two hours of behind-the-scenes footage from Rebirth, featuring producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Hamaguchi, both developers who hyped the final game to a standard that may have been impossible to live up to. “When I think about the third and final game in the Remastered trilogy, I’m really excited, and I have high expectations for it,” Kitase said.

“I really hope that fans will have great expectations for this game, and we will meet those expectations. Look, I love Remastered and Rebirth, but you might want to temper your expectations a little. Final Fantasy 7 is obviously an influential game, but times have changed.
