Figma announced Make Designs in June as a way for designers to use generative artificial intelligence to help get started with app design, but early users were quick to show off how it could emulate an app that looked very close to Apple’s iPhone weather app weather app. Although Figma insists that the feature was not trained on customer profiles—in fact, Figma said it did not train the off-the-shelf generative AI models it uses—the company removed the feature for more testing.
Now it’s back, called First Draft, and like Figma’s other AI features, it’s currently available in a limited beta.
