FBI fans, get ready. We’re in action again. We also have new faces joining us on our international adventures.
Spoilers for FBI Season 4 Episode 1 will prepare you for what’s to come. For the show’s fourth season, we expect to return to the normal season format of twenty-some episodes.
The season is about to kick off with excitement, touching backstory, and a new team leader taking over the FBI International Flight Team.
Here’s what fans can expect from the Season 4 premiere of FBI: International.
“FBI: International” Season 4 Cast Changes
After the shortened third season of “FBI: International,” star Luke Kleintank, who played FBI supervisory agent and Flying Squad boss Scott Forrester, exited.
Forrest casts a shadow of mystery over the series.
The story describes him hiding out in Alaska after getting mixed up with his mother, a former spy with a questionable past.
For those who enjoyed Dick Wolf’s other massive production, One Chicago, Captain Fly in FBI: International Season 4 is a familiar face.
Get ready, fans, because Jesse Lee Soffer is back in our primetime lineup. But he is no longer the same person we remember.
When Jay Halstead (Soffer) left after ten seasons with the Chicago Police Department’s intelligence unit, Chicago PD fans were left with Haley Upton (Tracy Spirida) Coase) is equally heartbroken. His exit paves the way for his on-screen wife Upton to move on to Season 11 of “Chicago P.D.”
After a brief hiatus, Soffer will return to work on Dick Wolf, this time as the boss of a team of international FBI agents.
Another cast member leaving FBI: Family International will be Forrest’s love interest Jamie Kellett (Hedda Reed). The storyline is that after surviving an explosion that destroyed the FBI’s flying team headquarters, Kellett left the team to take a position in Washington, D.C.
Jesse Lee Soffer joins the cast as agent Wesley Mitchell
The biggest news about the upcoming fourth season is Sofer’s charismatic character, Wesley “Wes” Mitchell.
Social media has been flooded with quick teasers showing Sofer taking over a team loyal to its former leader. Wes appears friendly and laid-back, and is described as dashing and charming, with unconventional tactics and excellent instincts.
No matter where you are, bonding over drinks seems to be a familiar custom for everyone. A short clip shows Mitchell and his staff gathered around an antique table, toasting to the new team dynamic.
Another clip shows a more personal side of Wes.
This gives us a glimpse into his tumultuous relationship dynamics. As a leader, he may be in control of his team, but his romantic partner doesn’t seem to respect his authority.
What kind of jealousy does one have to have to be willing to throw away your partner’s stuff over voicemail? Especially if that partner works for the FBI.
oops.
This premise promises interesting and humorous relationship drama. But where would the production of Dick be without it?
Fans have been whispering about the Benson-Stabler feud for over two decades, and it remains hugely controversial among Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fans. Some people hope “Ship” will happen. Others don’t.
Maybe 2024 is the year we figure out some way.
Professionally, Wes is expected to be a different type of leader than Forrest, but still a good one. Hailing from the gritty streets of Los Angeles, his rough childhood shaped his first career with the Los Angeles Police Department.
Let’s just hope he likes the team’s mascot, Tank. Otherwise, this viewer would automatically dislike one of my favorite male television stars.
Season 4 post-season staff surprise for Station 19 fans
Fans of the Wolfe series are often fascinated by anything under the Shondaland brand.
This writer included! I might be the fan club president.
So I’m excited to announce that another major man I have a crush on, who didn’t show up until Station 19 was canceled, will also be appearing in FBI: International. .
But be prepared to remember Jay Hayden as FBI agent Tyler Booth.
Agent Booth (wow, I almost typed Seeley in there – I guess now that SEAL Team is done, I really need to reboot Bones for David Boreanaz) will be sought in Budapest Flying team’s help.
Hayden and Soffer are best friends in real life.
So seeing them play ex-partners who have been through some stuff should create a lot of dynamic on screen.
Wes was already an eclectic man who did things his way, regardless of legality. When you add in the chaos of his spontaneous sidekick, things can start to get a little out of whack.
Mitchell has an agent, Megan Garretson (Eva Jane Willis), affectionately known as “Smitty,” which looks good. Smitty will be the good angel on his shoulder, responsible for controlling him when he comes under the influence of the bad angel Booth.
However, fans must be patient. Hayden won’t join the show until the second half of season four.
Spoilers for FBI: International Season 4 Episode 1
Fans and the Fly team will get to know Mitchell when he comes to Budapest to hunt down an armed suspect involved in a police shooting.
The season opener begins in Los Angeles, where Sofer and his partner are involved in a car chase that results in his partner being shot and killed and the suspect fleeing to Europe, with Agent Mitchell in hot pursuit.
Soffer promises that the season 4 opener will be an action-packed wild ride that will plunge fans into the chaos of his life. From a rough-and-tumble robbery gang to Mitchell’s desire to solve his partner’s shooting woes, the season premiere will be packed with new ideas.
Although Mitchell is new to the Flying Squad, he already has an established relationship with one of its members.
Agent Cameron Waugh (Vinessa Vidotto).
The past sounds tense, to say the least. Mitchell was Waugh’s training officer a few years ago, which could explain why Waugh seemed so eager to accept Wes as a member of the team so quickly.
Be sure to tune in to FBI: International live on Tuesdays, October 15th at 9pm ET. It will air starting at 8pm ET.
