inner color is a heartfelt coming-of-age story for the whole family, combining fun and catchy songs, beautiful pastel colors and A touching story about our first steps in finding ourselves.. Tozuko is a gentle young woman who has a synesthetic ability that allows her to see the “colors” of people. When she becomes attracted to the color of Kimi, a former honor student who suddenly drops out of Catholic school, the two find themselves forming a band with Rui, a boy who has hidden his passion for music from his family. As the three grow closer through music, will they begin to understand their true identities – what are their true “colors”?
Naoko Yamada is One of the most famous directors in animation todayWidely recognized for his ability to create emotionally authentic characters and his directorial vision for blending the sensibilities of animation and live-action film. Yamada has previously directed award-winning films silent voicewidely regarded as one of the best animated films of recent years. Her other popular works include character dramas liz and the bluebirdthe beloved TV series Good morning!as well as the historical fantasy series Heike story.
inner color marks Yamada’s highly anticipated first feature film at Science SARU (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, you oh) and saw her reunited with regular collaborators Screenwriter Reiko Yoshida (silent voice) and Composer Kensuke Ushio (chainsaw man, He Dahe) The result is a charming and sweet film with surprising emotional depth.

summary:
Tozuko is a high school student with the ability to see the “colors” of others. Colors of happiness, excitement and tranquility, plus her favorite color. Kimi, a classmate from school, exudes the most beautiful colors. Although Tozuko can’t play an instrument, she forms a band with Kimi and Rui. As they practice at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and sparking feelings. Will they discover their true “color”?
