With only two weeks left until the team completes its assessment, there’s still a lot to accomplish. Luckily, they don’t have to choose the next case themselves because Sister Andrea brings it to them. I really like Sister Andrea, she is one of the best characters in the show.
Sister Andrea brings them Paul, the son of her friend who committed suicide. He is possessed by his doppelgänger, Gregory, who recently committed suicide. Of course, the team thinks he’s mentally disturbed, but Sister Andrea can see the demon in him, and when she asks him who he is, he gives that evil smile that made me jump.

The backstory for this episode is Kristen dealing with the aftermath of her divorce. She thought she was going to get money from the billionaire climber, but he had already paid Andy. If that wasn’t enough, she attended Leland’s trials every day. Coulter was called as a defense witness. Leland’s lawyer, also known as the Evil Dead, comes to New York to show up to Kurt and scare him into submission. Cotter did say that Leland needed to be hospitalized, but he went against the script and said he would be hospitalized for the rest of his life—thus putting his own life in danger.

Apparently, the person Paul saw was his doppelgänger. There is a website where you can find your doppelgänger. Ben has been offered several job opportunities, but he has such a hard time accepting them that he almost takes off his foil to talk to the gold man. Instead, he looked up his doppelgänger. It seems he is happily married and has a child. Meanwhile, Christine is on the website, and instead of looking for her doppelganger, she searches for David’s doppelgänger and finds a boxer and dreams about him.
Sister Andrea sees a doppelgänger of herself after being haunted by her friend. She went to David to confess her sin. The scenes are very touching and the acting is very good. Later, David tried to save the church with the archdiocese, but the church had been purchased and everyone had to move. They elevated him to a sinking ship.
Kristen’s daughters tried to raise money by starting a gofundme, and to Kristen’s shock, they raised over $10,000. Before she punishes them, they give her an idea to start her own practice, and Kurt agrees to refer his patients to her during her book tour. She returns to court, but Leland’s case is dismissed because the devil finds the judge who kills Christine’s attorney in a shocking scene. Every time I thought Leland was losing, he came back swinging harder.
Paul had an exorcism with the help of Sister Andrea. She is so strong and wise that that night, Kristen returns to the doppelgänger site and discovers that her doppelgänger is a musician. My problem with this episode’s dual storyline is that instead of casting actors who look similar to our actors, they cast our actors in other roles. I think it would be more believable if the people on the site looked similar rather than exactly the same.

David talks to Sister Andrea about the current state of the Church and his doubts. She lets him play the piano and bright lights surround them. She told him that He (God) was in the room with them. I love their relationship and how they help each other. They are each other’s glue, and one of my favorite moments of the episode was her staring down the demon in the courtroom.
Overall, this episode had shocking and horrific moments, but I felt like the story got a little lost this season and I wanted him and Kristen to actually believe what was happening to them. I’m nervous for Kurt because he won’t get away with what he does. I’m tired of Leland winning and I hope we see him go down soon, probably in the last episode (two episodes left).
