For anyone considering attending the Skift Conference Forum on September 17th in New York City, you’ll find the answers to most of your questions in one place.
What is the Skift Conference Forum?
The Skift Conference Forum is a one-day gathering of innovative leaders at the forefront of business events. It is a carefully curated learning and social experience and a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing key issues shaping the future of business activity. Expect to hear groundbreaking insights and engage in action-focused discussions with innovators and industry leaders.
When does it happen?
The event is in progress Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the event ends at 4:00 pm (time to be determined). The event will be followed by optional learning and site tours, and guests are invited to attend the opening session and reception of the Skift Global Forum, which will be held at the same venue from 6pm.
Who is it for?
Skift Conference Forums attract a diverse audience including top business event professionals and influential leaders. Content and format meet the needs of advanced corporate and association planners who are skilled in managing a variety of global meetings and events.
We welcome all meeting and event professionals interested in learning about topics such as successful business practices, changing attendee preferences, advanced technologies, changing work dynamics and generational changes.
What kind of experience is this?
Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for the Skift Conference Forum, including:
- Highly Qualified Senior Meeting Planner – Expected attendance of approximately 250 attendees.
- Excellent content. Our amazing programming team won’t let this event disappoint you. They work tirelessly to ensure that we bring you top executive presentations covering hot topics.
- A place that feels fresh and unique, but not too corporate or boring. We think we’ve achieved this at Glasshouse, and many others attending the 2022 Skift Global Forum at this location will agree.
- Excellent catering service. We pride ourselves on investing in great food at our events – and the Skift Conference Forum is no exception. You can enjoy delicious breakfasts and lunches, as well as snacks and refreshments during social breaks.
- Friendly staff. Our entire team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. We’re here to assist you and ensure you have the best experience.
Who is the speaker and what is the topic?
Don’t expect a bullet point list of “10 tips on how to do XYZ.” Instead, expect a deep dive into editorial-driven questions and answers.
Skift works differently than other events. Speakers (mostly) take the stage with editors or executives and ask pressing questions in their fields, and the topics will vary depending on the industry.
This year we are proud to feature expert speakers including:
- Rajeev (Reggie) Aggarwal, CEO and Founder of Cvent
- Monique Ruff-Bell, Chief Project and Strategy Officer, TED Conferences
- Carina Bauer, CEO IMEX Group
- Seth Godin, entrepreneur, best-selling author and speaker
- Sherrif Karamat, President and CEO, CAE, PCMA and CEMA
- Ken Holsinger, Senior Vice President of Strategy at Freeman
- Nicola Kastner, CEO of Event Leaders Exchange (ELX)
- Ben Erwin, President and CEO of Encore
- Senthil Gopinath, CEO, International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)
- Rob Adams, President, Bishop & McCann
- Jack Guttmann, Greenhouse Managing Partner
