At Gamescom 2024, Everspace 2 developer Rockfish Games unveiled a new chapter in the story of this space shooting RPG. Titans is the first paid add-on for the game, and it brings weird stuff that we’ve never seen in the game before.
The DLC expands Everspace 2 in some exciting new ways, offering a host of new encounters, and will be released in September.

Titans consists of two story chapters: Dreadnought and Leviathan. Dreadnought will have you join a group of freelance workers investigating rumors of a massive ship unlike anything else in the game. This multi-stage boss battle will be challenging and designed for players with a balanced ship loadout.
Leviathan takes Everspace 2 into the bizarre side of science fiction. It’ll also have you tracking a massive creature in the Kate Nebula, except this organic ship hides more under its belly than you thought. Gameplay for this storyline will focus on solving puzzles, disarming traps, and gathering resources rather than all-out combat.
Leviathan is designed for replayability because the interiors of these massive creatures are procedurally generated, meaning they look different every time you explore them.
Of course, both encounters will also unlock some new rewards once completed. In fact, one of Titan’s main selling points is the new loot you can find and equip, which includes new item sets, catalysts, legendary items, and new consumables.
Titans will be released on September 16th for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, priced at $15/€15/£13. As for the future of Everspace 2, you’ll be happy to know that Rockfish is working on a second, larger expansion with the goal of releasing it sometime in 2025.
