Eurydice from Hades
Eurydice (played on Broadway by Eva Noblezada in the original cast) is Orpheus’s lover in the musical Hadestown. Eurydice was a down-and-out person who often found herself at the mercy of her fate, and she was no stranger to the harsh realities of the world. Despite their differences, she falls in love with the sensitive, optimistic Orpheus. Ultimately, Eurydice follows Hades into Hell to escape hunger and poverty, only to discover that something worse awaits her there. Eurydice wore an oversized coat to protect herself from the strong winds, tattered leggings and a worn sundress. She also wore an unbuttoned brown vest and a yellow scarf around her neck. When Orpheus played his unfinished song to her, he conjured a red flower, which she carried with her until she departed for Hell.
