The NFT market continues to face challenges. Sales fell 12% last week and fell 16% the week before. Sales in the past seven days have approached $100 million Crypto Grand Slam. More than 785,000 traders participated in 1.4 million trades.
Ethereum leads NFT sales
Ethereum Still the leading blockchain for NFT sales. Last week’s transaction volume was $38.4 million. However, Ethereum wash sales also increased significantly, with revenue from this activity growing by nearly 9.5% to $37.69 million.
last week, Polygon Produced great performances. Its revenue grew by 11.2%, surpassing the Bitcoin (BTC) network and ranking second. Additionally, wash trade volume surged on Polygon. It grew 46% to $14.9 million, nearly double the amount reported the previous week.
Bitcoin Sales fell to third place. Its revenue fell 40%. Only Fantom (FTM) and Blast (BLAST) fared worse, down 87% and 74% respectively. Bitcoin’s wash trades also surged by nearly 200%, although the $63,072 in volume generated by this activity was miniscule compared to Ethereum and Polygon.
Solana retained its ranking with the fourth-highest sales volume of the week. Immutable (IMX) dropped to sixth place after ranking fifth last week, with Mythos Chain (MYTH) surpassing it with approximately $4.5 million in sales. Panini, BNB Chain, and Zora also performed prominently. Zora’s sales increased by more than 50%, while Panini, a company known for its NFT sports trading cards, saw revenue increase by 22% to $135,000.
Top NFT series
In the NFT series, CryptoPunks are back with a bang. Its sales surged 155%, earning $5.26 million, making it the best-selling NFT series this week. Mythos’ DMarket sales fell 9.21%, but still generated more than $4 million in revenue. Ethereum-based Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) ranked third with sales of nearly $3.5 million, a 73.66% increase from the previous week.
Other series also performed well. Ethereum’s Pudgy Penguins and Solana’s DogeZuki Collection made $3.69 million and $2.43 million respectively.
This week’s best-selling NFTs
The most expensive NFT last week came from Ethereum, selling for $204,066. However, this is significantly lower than the price of the top NFT the previous week, which sold for $587,194. One Bitcoin serial number sold for $113,465, ranking second. Solana’s Mad Lads #4575 came in third at $110,917.
Sales of fan tokens increased last week due to important football matches in Europe and America. As Turkey won Euro 2024 for the first time, sales of Galatasaray (GAL) fan tokens increased the most, surging 70,149% to $280.5 million. Additionally, the coin’s price increased by 2,542% to $2.87 per unit. As Spain, France and Italy successfully kicked off their Euro 2024 campaigns, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus also saw significant growth in fan token sales, ranging from 22,903% to 8,670%.
